lorenwhite@insightbb.comRoscoe, not knowing exactly what age/gender you are writing about, I will attempt to comment. There are so many requests throughout the scheduling process by teams that won't play on Friday, must be done by 3 on Saturday, don't want to play their own local teams, want to play an opposite time of their 5th grade team so they can coach both, etc.....(I could keep going) it is extremely difficult to please everyone. Throw into the equation that we had 117 games in 2 days at 6 different venues. We try to not have teams from the same local area play eachother until they have to, but sometimes with the above requests and the number's game, that cannot be avoided. I would like your input on how to 'weight' teams. When Coach Jones calls from Timbucktoo and says his team is so good that they will win the tourney and they won the tourney in Salem Illinois last week, do I think he has a decent team or was the Salem Tourney not competitive? What is their 'weight'? Should we start taking applications and only accept teams that have a certain weight?? We are always looking to improve and will take any and all suggestions you have to heart. Please forward them to my email. We also probably work harder over a 6 month period to put on this tourney than any tourney you attend. Now my 2 cents as I was the person who did the scheduling ....I have a full time job, a family, 2 sons who play sports, a life and with all that, I attempted to help put on a competitive, successful and 'fun' b'ball tourney. Obviously, in your situation, we did the competitive, I know the tourney was successful again, but the fun you had is questionable because you 'got the shaft'. Hopefully, in the realm of all things your players grew as players and young men/women. Thank You Loren White
